An everything balm.

Kawakawa leaves slow-infused in sweet almond oil, then set with beeswax, shea butter and coconut oil. One small jar for lips, cuticles, elbows, the ends of your hair and anywhere that asks to be looked after.

The ritual

  1. Warm. Take a little and warm it between your fingertips until it softens.
  2. Press. Press into lips, cuticles, elbows or dry spots. Don't rub; let it settle.
  3. Pause. A few quiet seconds is the point of the ritual.

Key ingredients

  • Kawakawa, a plant at the heart of rongoā Māori
  • Sweet almond oil, shea butter and coconut oil to soften
  • Beeswax to protect

Why kawakawa works here

Kawakawa leaves are slow-infused in sweet almond oil, the way rongoā has long prepared them, then set in a rich base of beeswax, shea butter and coconut oil. The beeswax holds the balm on dry spots like lips, cuticles and elbows for longer.

Benefits

  • Comforts and softens very dry areas
  • Leaves a protective, nourishing layer
  • One small jar for lips, hands, elbows and ends of hair
  • The first product Rawinia made, for her daughter
